Car washing and waxing tips
![]() |
Many of the car owners have the habit of spending endless hours washing their cars with detergents, abrasives and additives to make their car look new. The real truth is that these chemicals actually cause damage to the car instead of cleaning them. Some dish cleaners contain harmful chemicals that you will find it hard to rinse them off which leads to loosing the wax finish of your car. Make sure that you don’t end up in damaging your life time investment on your car. Here are a few tips on how to wash and wax your car in the correct way.
If it is a hot sunny day, never put your car to wash under the hot sunlight. Wash you car in early morning. If you find it difficult to wake up early morning just to wash your car, make it in the afternoon, in the shade when the temperature is cooler.
Now that you know dish detergents are actually harmful, use a formulated car wash. Go to a hardware store and find a formulated car wash which suits your car.
Do not wash your car with cold water. Instead, use a bucket full of warm water. Don’t hit it too hard that you ultimately strip off the paint itself! Washing mitts are available in the stores which you can use for cleaning the dirt.
Car contaminants are removed by waxing the car. Prepare your car for waxing by using a car polish.
To wax your car to make it shine like a new car, use quality car polishes available in the market. Here is how to wax your car.
Wash your vehicle (by the normal washing process) to remove all dirt.
Wash again with a quality car wash solution.
Make sure the paint surfaces are dry. Then apply a paint protection coat. Next, wipe off the coat. Now, you are done with the waxing process.
The entire process of waxing will be done within one hour.
Washing and waxing your car are probably the initial steps in maintaining your car. Follow the above tips and ensure that your car looks like a newly bought vehicle!
