Own Model T From Ford; Add Prestige

Own Model T From Ford; Add Prestige

Ford began its car manufacturing with Model T in 1908. Henry Ford entered into the production in 1908 and 2008 marks the 100th anniversary of the first mass-produced car to be made on a production line. Ford’s aim was to make a car affordable to the masses and Model T was brought out by keeping this goal in mind. The Model T changed the world and turned America into an industrial economy and mobile society. Buying a Ford Model T in 1908 cost half the price of its rivals, making it one of the popular cars of the time.. The Model T was

produced until 1927 by which time more than 15 million models had been sold.

Early Model T came out with no doors, and the windscreen was braced with leather straps. The styling was typically formal and upright as is usual with cars of this era. But changes were made in 1915. The model was restructured by adding a single passenger side door but the driver’s side was covered by the spare wheel where the door would be. Also the back seat is set over the rear axle, allowing for plenty of leg room but no allowance made for carrying luggage.

There are a lot of T cars available right now. You can own a model adding pride and prestige to your collection list. Specialist companies can supply most if not all parts that maybe required for any restoration or small service that maybe required. In 1910 a Model T cost £220 and by 1919 the price had reduced to £170.

Always, it is necessary to remember that you are buying a car with very little in the way of accessories with four wheels, a steering wheel, an engine, basic electrics and weather protection. Any plans to buy a Ford Model T, then forget everything you have learned about driving. The Ford Model T has a speed of 20-30mph.

Ford: The Car Maker

Ford: The Car Maker

The largest automobile company, Ford, was founded Henry Ford. Presently, it holds the third position in car making. Even though, While Henry Ford has been building motor vehicles before this, 1903 is the year when he, supported by twelve investors, established the famous company.

The primary models from Ford were named chronologically with letters. The model A was launched in 1903. In 1904 Ford brought out the world famous T Model that later

became a symbol of the American motorcar industry. In 1907 Ford made Blue Oval Trademark. Henry Ford was successful in bringing out a series of fascinating models by the early 1910’s, when he expanded overseas, with production facilities in France, Denmark and Germany, England and Austria.

By the year 1914, the time when First World War started, Ford was producing half of the cars being sold in the US and almost half of all cars being produced in England. In the war time, Ford got involved in manufacturing cars for the military. In 1922, Ford acquired Lincoln Motor Company aiming the expansion of its market share as Ford wanted to enter the luxurious car market. By the year 1941, Ford owned the largest assembly plant in the world and during the World War II, it produced not only standard military vehicles, but also B-24 Liberator bombers and tanks. By the time of his death in 1947, Ford was a reputed world carmaker.

In the post WWII period, Ford developed and evolved very fast, bringing out famous models in the 1950s and the 1960s, such as the Thunderbird (1955), the F-1 truck (1948) and the Mustang (1964). Ford also continued implementing the latest technologies in their cars thus becoming one of the most important carmakers in the world during the Cold War. In 1987 Ford bought Aston Martin and in 1989 Ford acquired Jaguar, in 1999 acquired Volvo and Land Rover in 2000. In 2003 Ford Motor Company celebrated its 100th birthday. But the recent financial debacle has severely affected Ford, and has made it to give out some brands.
