The Pagani Huayra is one of those luxury cars that will make you spellbound in no time. Priced at $1.4 million, the Huayra (named after an ancient Andean god of wind) from Pagani is a masterpiece of both design and engineering.
The Pagani Huayra is powered by a 700-horsepower, 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine that produces 811 lb-ft of torque. The Huayra can hit 60 mph in about 3.5 seconds, can reach speeds in excess of 220 mph, and has been engineered to meet U.S. safety and emissions standards.
Horacio Pagani, the company founder, said about the car, “This automobile is the result of five years of dedicated effort from the Pagani team and we see this as an unprecedented opportunity to continue expanding our vision of the future for the supercar industry.”
The carbon-titanium body of Pagani Huayra houses a customized seven-speed paddle shift transmission from Xtrac. The luxury car’s massive ceramic brake discs do not have trouble stopping even when it is traveling at top speed. Interior of the Pagani Huayra is just as impressive as its exterior and is characterized by an aluminum dashboard and a central multi-function display by way of and HD touch screen that operates satellite navigation, bluetooth phone, audio functions, and secondary vehicle functions of the car. The AMG engine of Pagani Huayra will force the light-as-a-feather Huayra to speeds of up to 230 mph when you push the pedal and hold it on a straightaway.
