Fast Cars: From a Mark of Protest to Symbol of Prestige

1960’s was a period of revolt in the U.S. The youth of the country were in search of something that could express their protest against conservative and traditional establishment. Be it anything, they were ready to experiment the new, what they called “symbol of change”. It was in this time, the concept of fast cars evolved in the Newlands. Known as muscle cars, these super fast cars were sleek, and sporty with a powerful engine. Comprising of a V8 engine, these cars created a real mania among the youth of the time. The manufacturers of these cars were in stiff competition with each other which led into the introduction of high end technology in each models making it really stunning and impressive. The fast cars with their prestigious presence on race tracks succeeded in creating a feel of power and flamboyance in the minds of young drivers.
The Shelby Mustang and the 440 Roadrunner are two of the fast cars that customer satisfaction with its high performance and speed. Definitely there were many a series of fast cars in line including Camaros, Chargers, GTOs, and Firebirds all tried to pack as much punch under the hood as was possible. The high performing cars with affordable prises really allured the American motor lovers of the sixties and seventies.
Cars in Post 90’s
The 1960s and 70s were golden era for the auto manufacturers with heavy rise in number of car users. But yes, nineties witnessed new generation cars that made the existing fast cars look obsolete and out dated. With the advancement of technology, the fast cars became a common thing even in lands outside the New England. The love for speed that existed from early ages was the main reason for the high demand for fast cars.
The desire for speed was there with us from the beginning and will remain with us always. Until this craze fades away, the demand for fast cars will never die. The growing market of fast cars is the witness for this.
