With the growing numbers of cars on the road per day, today there is no city or place which is not suffering from the congestion problem. We go out in the city and the very first thing we need o do is to search for the parking for our car but where to park it , all the parking space seems to be already full and there is no place left in the cities to increase parking by the authorities. This is going to increase day by day as the economic status off the people will rise they will purchase new cars which will ultimately increase

Tthe problem of congestion. According to survey it had been found that more then half of the energy, particularly fossil fuel which is the chief source of energy is used for transportation, which is some how I a way to urban energy waste.

In an attempt to solve this problem student from MIT (Massachusetts institute of technology) have come up with a unique design on the basis of there research backed by general motors. They call it a ‘’ city car ‘’

City car is an electric car, which can be easily mass produced and can be folded and stalked like a grocery carts at any place. The main concept in this car lies in its wheels .MIT team have transformed its wheels into sophisticated robotic drive system which is the main source of the power to the city car. On its each wheel electric motor, steering and braking mechanism ,suspension and digital controls are embedded and all of these are integrated in to a sealed units can be snapped on and off.

The internal combustion system is eliminated hence there is no hood .It is actually an eggshell – shaped glass plate, have a part roof with apart windshield. An modular cabin is framed inside which extends completely inside the chassis and the color of the cabin can be changed according to the wish of the driver ,this is done  with the help of the software running in the city car computer which have an extra ordinary computational power. It can even recognize the pit holes. To start the car you just need to push a button just like your computer and it have no steering but simply a handle bar like a bike or a scooter. It also has zero turn radiuses which will eradicate the problem of the u turn in the crowded area. The best thing about it is it can be folded one after another and staked in a very limited space, this is the result of its innovative and ultra compact design.

Hey, there is good news for Russia. The latest news from St. Petersburg says that Mitsubishi, the Japanese automaker is planning to start a plant near the business capital. The sources say that some of its top executives have visited the mentioned location. As per the rumours, the company is set on building a new facility or assembly plant here. The fact is backed up and confirmed by one of the major Mitsubishi distributors in Russia. According to the distributor, the company is indeed planning on building an assembly plant in St. Petersburg. Mitsubishi actually sent off a whole delegation of the company’s officials to see the possibilities of setting the plan into action.

The distributor said that the team has visited the location and everybody is so excited about it. He even further added that the whole trip was made so as to gain further information on the place as the future home of a Mitsubishi plant.
The fact cannot be denied that St. Petersburg and the rest of Russia has been one of the major locations of manufacturing and assembly plants for various auto manufacturers. Big names like General Motors, Nissan, and Toyota are also coming up with ideas of opening plants in this area. Ford Motor Company already has its own plant in the country since the year 2002 where the models of Ford focus are being assembled.

The Mitsubishi delegation of officials is seriously considering the locations at the south of St. Petersburg and the area of Shushary which is the current site of plants for Japanese Toyota and American General Motors. If this plan becomes reality, then Mitsubishi would be able to produce more of their exemplary vehicles here. Apart from that, the company would also find time to create and design new vehicles for the various markets that it sells its wares to.
