WORLD MOVING TOWARDS ELECTRIC CARS

WORLD MOVING TOWARDS ELECTRIC CARSLooking at the pace with which the fossil fuels are extracted and used, we can say there is that here not much time left for the fossil fuels to extinguish. What then, how will you drive your car, or how will you go to your office. We’ll many automobile production firms have realized it quite earlier.

Almost in every form vehicles like sports cars, sedans or bus people are try to work upon their concept models.

In America Tesla motors have developed an electric roadster and international celebrity like Arnold Schwarzenegger (actor and presently governor of California) has appreciated it. Well this car deserves it as it can achieve the speed of100 kilometer per hour in 10 seconds and can reach the speed of 200 kilometer per hour. This roadster drives on lithium ion battery which when ones charged can easily make the car run up to 350 km.

An Indian automobile firm TATA motors who are the new owners of world famous like Jaguar and Land rover, are working on electric version of its certain models.

Many nations have also come up and joined their hands to promote electric motors RENAULT French automobile firm have patched up with Israeli government for promoting electric cars in the nation. A similar alliance is done between NISSAN and Denmark government. NISSAN motors have build up a complete range of electric cars after analyzing their demand in near future. An American firm General motors have developed electric version of its Chevrolet Aveo model and looking at the appreciation it have got they have increased it production for future demand.

An electric car can never give you the feel of petrol or any other fossil fuel based cars may be later on after some years it may have that quality too but not presently. Any how electric or alternative fuel car has its own benefits. From the environment point of view its best cause there are no pollutant residue.

Although they are bit costly but in the long run they tends to be cheaper as they have low maintenance cost more over driving cost is low or negligible, in approximation we can say that it is around .01 dollars per kilometer .These cars have also been tested under water conditions and have performed well so we can say that these are perfect road car. Moreover these machines can also be your style statement.

The modern cars offered by Nissan are ten times comfortable than its old models of 70’s.

Nissan Opting for a Wide Market

Nissan Opting for a Wide MarketThe auto giant Nissan Motor Company is quietly working on a campaign to overhaul their car line up. The present models including the Maxima,Altima, and Sentra, soon will be transformed into more luxurious and expensive models. They will launch the Versa as the introductory model.
The Nissan motor division has been a big name in the US automobile market with good performance. With the transformation of the make’s name from Datsun to Nissan in the early 1980s to the introduction of a luxury line, Infiniti, in the late 1980s, the Nissan Motor Company has benefited financially and its customers have been receptive to the changes. Nissan was overtaken by Honda and Toyota making it go to third in the lucrative U.S. auto market.

The pending changes for Nissan’s line up are coming about and for the following reasons:

1. The Maxima’s competition, the Toyota Avalon has shed its frumpy image as it borrows Lexus styling cues to give it a much more luxurious and appealing look. An improved interior and more standard equipment has pushed a fully loaded Avalon into the low to mid-30s range as well.Nissan’s response to Toyota’s move is to “Infinitize” the Maxima starting with the 2007 model year. It hopes to give it a more luxurious edge to compete effectively with the Avalon.

2. Introduction of the Versa. To fight Toyota’s budget minded Scion division, Nissan brings Versa — a 1.8L 4 cylinder powered xA-competing hatchback — expected to retail at about $12,000.

The strategy of Nissan does not include the sale of the Maxima, Altima, or Sentra for a less price. In fact, the Maxima’s price may ultimately surge several thousand dollars and into the range of cars sold by their Infiniti division which begs the following question: why purchase a Maxima when an Infiniti G35 could be had for almost the same price? The all new Alabama-built Hyundai Sonata should sell for several thousand dollars less than a comparatively equipped Altima. With Hyundai’s quality levels improving, the Sonata’s appeal rises measurably.

In the end, Nissan must keep pace with Toyota and Honda or risk being marginalized further. With other manufacturers duking it out, it will be interesting to see if higher prices hold for Nissan models or whether the Japanese automaker will be forced to cut prices to win consumers and to hold onto market share.

Nissan plans to introduce electric cars in US by 2010

Nissan plans to introduce electric cars in US by 2010One of the leading car manufacturers Nissan plans to introduce its electric cars product line to the United States by 2010. According to the sources, “Renault-Nissan alliance” will invest between $500 million to $1 billion dollars in electric cars. Nissan Chief Executive Carlos Ghosn said the company expects to sell a broad range of electric vehicles globally by 2012, beginning with a small number, in the hundreds of vehicles, in the U.S. According to the sources, Nissan also expects to sell a lineup of electric vehicles globally by 2012.

Mr. Ghosn added that “with customers in emerging markets like China and India clamoring for cars, the industry has a responsibility to invest in the cleanest vehicles possible. The question is how we participate in the growth of emerging markets, while doing it in a way that is not in contradiction with the fact that a lot of people are sensitive to the emission levels and the preservation of the planet.”

Meanwhile other leading automobile manufacturers including Mitsubishi, General Motors and Toyota are working on battery-powered vehicles with small engines for recharging. General Motors plans to start producing the Chevrolet Volt in 2010 and Toyota expects to offer a similar “plug-in” hybrid around the same time.

Renault has also promises “a range of electric vehicles” beginning with a sedan for the Israel market, before bringing an EV to America within two years.

Nissan is among the top three Asian rivals of the “big three” in the U.S. Currently they are the third largest Japanese car manufacturer.
