The 2008 Jaguar XKR comes with a powerful performance (which is literally punching!) It has it all- elegant design, advanced technology and more importantly, awestruck looks. Its exceptional automatic transmission and an exhilarating exhaust growl add to its stunning looks. It is the soft-top version of Jaguar’s redesigned XK Coupe.
Other features include adaptive suspension, power driver seat, heated front seats, Radio data system, new Bowers & Wilkins speaker system exclusively crafted for XKR Premium Sound system, new high-performance braking system with 400mm front discs and 350mm rear discs brake assist, driver front impact airbag, passenger front impact airbag, driver side impact airbag, passenger side impact airbag, integrated roll-over protection, and electronic stability. Advanced aluminum construction, 420bhp supercharged 4.2-litre V8 engine and six-speed Jaguar sequential shift transmission with paddle shift add to the energetic performance of the XKR.
400mm front brake discs are retarded by powerful six-piston calipers, while at the rear four-piston calipers operate on 350mm discs. Innovative race-developed crescent-shaped grooves cut into the surface of the discs and prevent a build-up of deposits on the brake pads and improve braking performance under extreme use.
The XKR comes with a powerful V8 engine which drives the rear wheels with a six-speed automatic transmission. The equipments of the two-seater convertible are of high standards. The adaptive cruise control adds to the list of its high standards. The light yet rigid aluminum structure of XKR enhances its sporty nature and gives facilitate a quiet and sophisticated ride.
