Volvo Rolls Out on Indian Roads

Volvo entered the Indian automobile market a bit late, but succeeded in grabbing a big share of it within a short time. The entry of Volvo was awaited with wide enthusiasm, and Volvo didn’t fail in invading the hearts of car lovers.
The new S80 or XC90 from Volvo are now getting rolled on roads. Volvo car is launching its new S80 sedan and XC90 sports utility vehicle in the Indian market, assuring excellent performance. Volvo Car India (VCI), The subsidiary of Volvo
Car Corporation, a Ford group company has appointed three dealers in the cities of New Delhi, Mumbai and Chandigarh expecting high rise in sales.
The all-new luxury Sedan comes with a V8 powered with the proven Volvo Haldex computer-controlled all-wheel-drive system. The two models are coming up with three different engine alternatives: the 4.4 litre petrol V8, the 3.2 litre petrol in-line six-cylinder and the 2.4 litre turbocharged diesel in-line five-cylinder, the D5. The chassis, body and the interiors are brand new from stem to stern for the new 2007 model. The S80 has a safety package along with simply superb with ABS, traction control, and the yaw control. Volvo brings out the new models with Personal Car Communicator, a new electronic key fob design that could lock or unlock the car from distances up to 110 yards, and could tell you the state of locking. The cars also have an alarm and could sense the presence of a human heartbeat inside the car. The traffic distance warning system on top of the dash triggers, a flashing red light along with an audible warning, could be defeated by the driver if desired. Don’t that sound simply exciting. The new luxury sedan is admired and appreciated for its desired looks.
Volvo is targeting the NRI customers who have a desire to shell out for luxury sedans. If it succeeds in hitting the target, then the hard days for competing models are going to begin.
